Is Japanese media trying to bring down Emiko Tanaka to point out that the new political power isn’t any better than Japanese Liberal Democratic party that allowed 3 frequent retirement of the prime minister? If the Japanese media can be so critical to such a tribal thing, why didn’t they do so during the last political power? If the Japanese media is going to act like the justice, they need announce information from the politically liberal points of view, which appears to me that they’re on the Liberal Democratic Party.

What I want Emiko Tanaka to do, is go out and face the media and say, “Is something wrong with my carrier?”

What she done in the past doesn’t matter, she didn’t make a big crime or anything. What matter is, what she is going to do from now on as a politician. She should never quite, and all she needs to do is try her best no matter what Japanese media writes about her.

Japanese people are not stupid. We have eyes. We will pick the representatives on our own. We need no unfair mass media that points our decisions like a mistake. New political power hasn’t even started yet. I hate Japanese mass media that is searching for tribal fault to pick on.

31st August, there was a Lower House election in Japan.
Mieko Tanaka is a Japanese freshman female politician who belongs to the Democratic Party of Japan. In this election, she fought against Japanese former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori; a politician of the Liberal Democratic Party. They fought for the second an electoral district of Ishikawa prefecture.

Yoshiro Mori won the election, but Mieko Tanaka was only 4469 vote behind. This is an astonishing result for a new face that went against former Prime Minister. Mieko Tanaka lost the election, but she was able to become a member of the House of Councilors by the proportional representation system.

Here’s the problem. After she joined the House of Councilors, her business carrier as a nude model came out in the media. This carrier was not announced on her campaign profile.

I you were the citizen, would you vote for a nude model?

Media says that she was not just a nude model, but also a writer of a costume play sex service, and also played love scene in a movie called Yaju and Isunboshi.

Dragon Quest IX causes disturbance on net.

Dragon Quest IX was finally released on 11th July 2009 after several postpone since 2007.

Postponed by a system bug, many fan waited the release with huge expectation.
Contrary to fans expectation, evaluations given by the user are wide in variety, criticism to prize. Evaluation on Dragon Quest IX is a big controversy over net in Japan.

What brought such a controversy?
One possible reason is the postpone of release. Dragon Quest IX was supposed to be released in 2007, but post postponed onto October 2008, but again it was postponed to March 2009, and again postponed 11th July 2009. So it was postponed fore times, 2007 to October 2008, to March 2009, July 2009. These postpone seem to have made the fans disappointed and raise expectation at the same time.

At each postpone, there were system changes from the first announce. At first, it was announced that the game system will be action RPG and playable with friends on wii, but it was changed to battle style RPG and only can played wireless with friends which means that friends must stay gathered.

My personal conclusion, the game is crap. The expectations of the fans were too big, so it appealed crap. But first of all, as you can see from the postpone, the project plan was a crap. Sound like the company just wanted to release game because they wanted to make news and money. That’s why the plan and schedule were overlaid.

You shouldn’t look down on this toy, coz this isn’t a just a product of odd idea. It was made under close marketing. Not only it carries Sushi, you can actually control it’s destination, and you can play sounds of the door shut and station announcement. There are all so mini game you can play when you don’t have Sushi to eat.

It looks kind of childish but this toy is for families with kids so.

Recently Rikimaru Touhou who call himself a Manga Teller, is rising popularity in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, Japan.

Rikumaru Touhou, 35 years old, born in Kagoshima, Japan. His dream was to became the voice of Anime. So, he started reading Manga out loud in front of people, but not one people paid attention to him. Then he attended to Anime voice school, and started reading Manga out loud in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, Japan.

His perform Manga Telling in a outstanding outfit, white towel raped around his forehead and a pair of tabi (a Japanese shoes/socks with tow separated). He tells Manga by changing voices. He needs to use 5 different voice to read some of the Manga. A 21 years old guy, who asked Rikimaru to read Japanese Manga “Hokuto no Ken” said that he was moved by the Rikimaru’s dramatic reading.

Japance Manga publisher, suffering from the drop of Manga magazine sales and the trend of digitalization of paper based media, takes Rikimaru’s Manga Telling a new field of business. He will be performing Manga Telling in Japanese publisher Shougakkan’s event on 20th and 21st of June 2009.

It is my first time to hear about him but the power of Manga is wow. I would like to hear him read manga one day.

Since yesterday’s post, it made me wanna collect fun facts about Japan relating to pets.
Recently in Japan, a lot of media mentions that Japan is in the pet boom. It is said that one in three people has pet. Also the number of pet taken care in Japan is larger than the kids under 15. I’m not so sure about it, and I’m bit doubting on the media.

Still I think there are many fun facts relating to pets, so I decided put focus for a while.

When did the pet boom start?
I remember when I was a high schooler, there was a TV commercial of Aiful a Japanese finance company, that uses cute Chi Wawa, and every one got crazy about it. After the first commercial in 2002, it became a series, but it finished a lower requested an administrative measure on the company and the company received a two month of suspend business.

Story: A daughter suggest her dad buying a dag, at first dad denies, but when he look at the dog eye, his heart is stolen by its cuteness, then the background voice and the letter asks “Dosuru aiful?” meaning “What are you going to do? Aiful?” suggest to loan money from Aiful.

This TV commercial became very popular and were nominated in the best TV commercial of the year but it made many people this loaning money is easy.

International Food Machinery and Technology Exibision FOOMA 2009 was held in Tokyo Big Site from 9^th to 12^th of June 2009.

At this event, very cool Okonomi Yaki(Cabadge Pancake) Baker robot was introduced.

This Robot cooks Okonomi Yaki for you. Not only bakes but it speaks and talks and understands what the usuer’s demanding.

For example, While the robot cooks, it asks “Which flavor would you like? Okonomi Yaki sauce or soy sauce?” Then the user answers whichever they like, then it will understand the witch to put. Then it will ask weather to put mayonnaise on or not. Then it will do what you say. Isn’t is wow? And look at the moves, so smooth!

Kurohige Kikiippatsu is a famous toy in Japan. There is a guy in a barrel, firs you stick a sward in the barrel by turns, then if nothing happens, your safe, but the guy pops out, you are out. It is a simple game. I used to play with it when I was a kid.

I know that many people oversea loves Japanese girls.
Well, can you say that you still love Japanese girls after looking at this picture?

These "boys" are girl in garcon costume.
What these girls do is escort people around Akihabara.
The first date will be 2000 Yen for female user, and 3000 for male user for 40 min. (approx. USD 20 and 30) Taking photos will be 1000Yen (approx. USD 10). God, this is crazy.

I'm reading manga called Hanano Keiji right now, it is about Keiji Maeda a real existing Samrai in Japanese history. Although every thing in the manga isn't true, it helps me alot to understand Japanese history. When I learned Japanese history in school, it was very heard to remember all the names and what they done. I remember that it was hard knowing where in Japan the historical events happened because they use old names of the places and countries in Japan. I couldn't link the old names and the names today.

So may be learning with illustration may help.

Oh, yeah, read Hana no Keiji if you like Samurai and slaughtering. I recomend it, this is the manga to learn Samutai spirit.

At Tokyo University, Japan's most smartest national University, there is a University Fiesta called May Fiesta. In this fiesta, a Origami club presented an amazing Origami(the picture bellow). I love Japanese because they put effort on such a small thing and make a big establishment. I think this is the characteristic of Japanese. We aren't that open and dinamic but we like to put effort in one thing in deapth. I feel that is why we have such a high technology.

You wont believe it, but this dragon is made from a piece of paper. I can't believe it!

Satoshi stated folding Origami in his idea and stated to make his own way of folding, that's is called "choufukuzatukei"; meaning the very complicated type.

In Japan colorful Taiyaki is making a boom.
What is Taiyakki? Taiyaki is a Japanese sweets that puts been jam in fish shaped pancake.
Fish shaped is the point, it makes it really Japanese because we are basically fish eating people. The fish is bream. Bream is considered a very good happiness. This is the fish that will be served in ceremony for good fortune.

This colorful Taiyaki is now putting colors and different filing.
Curry flavor, cream, chocolate, and cheese. mmmm, sounds yummy. But I bet the original beam jam filling is the best.

The most succeeding colorful Taikyaki shop sell 1000 of them each day. One piece will cost USD 1 to 1.50. Seems like a good business. It won't cost much to make a peice. They are made of flower egg water and filling. Also the point of this business is that it don't take space. I saw them sold by truck.
But it just a boom. See how long it will last.
